- I myself played with the concept of the teak tree because I want my collection to link with the products of Phrae's entrepreneurs. I have a brooch, a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a ring, whereby I utilized the rawness of the black spinel in the pieces. I was very impressed with the texture of the gemstone the first time that I inspected it. It's a matte stone where you can't even tell that it's a gem. I experimented by cutting only 30 to 50 percent of the black spinel and using it like that. I want to see the contrast as well as some form of beauty which goes together. When I work I never thought that I was working with a gemstone. I just think that it's another material and I just design according to what I like.
